Job Description

Job Overview Archway Apothecary, LLC is a compounding pharmacy located in Covington, La. We are looking for a full time Louisiana licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team. We are open Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM. We are in immediate need of a Certified Pharmacy Technician with Customer Service.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active registration with Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
REQUIRED
  • Please include license number on resume
  • Ability to work according to all USP compounding standards, State and Federal Laws, as well as HIPAA guidelines
  • Knowledge of state laws regulating pharmaceutical compounding
  • Proficient at typing prescriptions accurately
  • Experience with Life File Software preferred
  • Ability to Multi-Task
SKILLS/ DUTIES
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Answer telephones and respond to doctor offices questions or requests
  • Data entry of prescriptions into our pharmacy system
  • Assist pharmacist with retrieval of prescription files and other records
  • Knowledge of medication dosage measurement
  • Ensure correct formula selection according to the prescription following quality assurance guidelines
  • Make sure the pharmacist on duty has confirmed the formulation in accordance to the script before starting the compounding preparation
  • Place and confirm that the beyond use date on the patient's product label is correct
  • Send prepared compound and documentation to supervising pharmacist for verification and sign off
  • Execute quality assurance procedures on assigned randomly sampled scripts and document results following standards
  • Responsible for daily cleaning and logs in accordance to established policy
  • Daily and Monthly Inventory reporting
  • Other duties as assigned or requested by management

EXPERIENCE
  • Two years or more experience as pharmacy technician preferred.
