Job Description

We need a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician at our Shreveport location! Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program. With two locations, Shreveport Campus and Bossier City Campus, we are the largest provider of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Pharmacy/ Pharmacist, he/she performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer the system, prepare medications, fill automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procure and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver supplies to nursing units. The hours of the position are 6-8 hours long, and we are open from 8am-8pm M-F and 8am-2pm Sat/Sun. The pay is commiserated with experience. Requirements/Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy. 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required. High School Graduate or Equivalent.
