Registered Pharmacy Technician 1.8 1.8 out of 5 stars Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 $22 - $26 an hour - Full-time Correct Rx Pharmacy Services, Inc. 32 reviews $22 - $26 an hour - Full-time Pharmacy Technician Summary Correct Rx is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy or designee, this role is responsible for supporting daily pharmacy operations, preparing and delivering medications, maintaining inventory, and assisting pharmacists in ensuring safe and effective medication management throughout the facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacy technician who values teamwork, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare and select medications for automated dispensing cabinets and patient-specific use under pharmacist supervision
  • Deliver medications to patient care units in accordance with departmental policies and Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Assist with medication preparation, packaging, labeling, and distribution activities
  • Support sterile and non-sterile compounding activities
  • Maintain medication inventory, including stock rotation and monitoring for expired medications
  • Respond promptly to urgent medication and floor stock requests
  • Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and compliant medication storage areas
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare staff to support safe and timely medication delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, hospital, and company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate professionalism, strong customer service, and respect toward patients, visitors, and fellow employees
  • Perform additional pharmacy support duties as assigned Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License required
  • PTCB certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
  • Inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • IV compounding experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications preferred
Compensation Hourly Rate:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Comprehensive benefits package available for eligible employees. Schedule Full-time 32 hours per week
