Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and deliver medications across the hospital in accordance with established pharmacy policies and procedures
- Manage and refill Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) throughout the hospital
- Handle and distribute controlled substances (Schedule II-VI medications) in compliance with regulatory standards
- Pick, package, and restock medications accurately for inpatient units
- Prepare and repackage unit-dose medications
- Assist with sterile and non-sterile medication compounding following established protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to nurses, physicians, and healthcare staff
- Support medication inventory management and ensure accurate transfers between pharmacy and hospital inventory locations
- Escalate medication or patient care questions to the Clinical Pharmacist on duty Your work behind the scenes plays a vital role in helping clinicians deliver the best possible care to every patient. Minimum Qualifications Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Experience working with Automated Dispensing Cabinets, medication preparation, or hospital pharmacy workflows is a plus Licensure & Certification
- Active Pharmacy Technician Registration - Commonwealth of Massachusetts (required)
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required Skills That Make You Successful

- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
