Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with expertise in sterile compounding, specializing in home infusion. This contract role offers a chance to work in a cutting-edge environment focused on antibiotic and TPN compounding with potential growth into a leadership position. The assignment is based in Hudson, MA, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lasting approximately six weeks and structured as a temp-to-direct hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and compound sterile IV medications, including antibiotics and TPN formulations, adhering to USP 797 standards. Maintain a clean room environment, conducting routine cleaning, environmental monitoring, and compliance checks. Manage biannual employee compliance documentation and ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols. Oversee inventory and ordering of clean room supplies to sustain operational excellence. Collaborate with the infusion pharmacy team to support home infusion therapies, ensuring quality and patient safety.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license. National pharmacy technician certification. Proven experience in home infusion and sterile compounding. Strong knowledge of USP 797 regulations and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability in environmental monitoring and clean room maintenance. Familiarity with antibiotic and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) compounding. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM OT may be required This role provides a unique platform to develop professionally within the home infusion pharmacy sector, with the potential to advance into leadership.
