Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team! As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. Your expertise in retail pharmacy, acute care, and/or hospital pharmacy will be instrumental in supporting our healthcare team.
Duties:
  • Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing their inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication therapy management
  • Maintain patient profiles and medication records accurately and confidentially
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile compounding
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
  • Effective communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of medication safety protocols and adherence to regulatory guidelines
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license/certification (state-specific)
  • Certification is a requirement.
  • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus but not necessary!
