Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assisting with medication preparation, administration, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to patient service. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. Perform IV infusion and medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Provide critical care support by ensuring timely medication delivery for acute care patients. Maintain accurate patient records and manage medication inventories. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients. Support patient care initiatives by educating patients on proper medication use and potential side effects. Adhere to aseptic technique standards when preparing sterile products. Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient service and improve overall health outcomes. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred. Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous, particularly in acute or critical care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to medications and treatments. Ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail, including accurate measurement and labeling of medications. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare staff. Familiarity with IV infusion processes and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
