Job Description

Nation's Infusion at Home is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Pharmacy Technician for our Owings Mills office! This role is inside of an Infusion pharmacy where all medications are prepared, then shipped to patients - we do not see patients on-site. This role primarily collaborates with the pharmacists, intake team, and delivery drivers. The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM, with a minimal rotating on-call schedule that includes weekends.
Key Duties:
Compound sterile IV medications using aseptic technique in a cleanroom environment (e.g., TPNs, antibiotics, IVIG, chemotherapy, pain management). Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to prescribed formulations and established procedures. Label and package compounded preparations in compliance with USP 797/800 and state/federal regulations. Maintain compliance with current
USP 797/800
standards. Maintain accurate records Process and fulfill orders; ensure all medications and supplies are included for delivery Track inventory and assist with reconciliation Perform cleaning of compounding areas and equipment per USP 797/800 and conduct environmental monitoring Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality policies regarding patient information.
Requirements:
Candidates must have an active Pharmacy Technician registration in Maryland. A least one year of infusion/compounding pharmacy technician experience Ability to demonstrate knowledge and competency in compounding CSP's according to the requirements in USP Chapters 797 and 800 prior to being authorized to work independently. Ability to work required schedule, including an on-call rotation. Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and drug use required Knowledge of quality assurance testing and aseptic technique required.
