Job Description
Pharmacy Technician - Long Term Care We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our long term care pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a long term care (LTC) pharmacy setting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accuracy environment. Responsibilities Accurately perform data entry of patient and prescription information into the pharmacy management system Process and verify prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations Perform medication administration record (MAR) batching, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for facility residents Collaborate with pharmacists, nursing staff, and facility coordinators to resolve prescription-related issues Maintain organized records and support overall workflow efficiency Requirements Active Maryland State Pharmacy Technician License is required At least 1 year experience working in a long term care pharmacy is required Familiarity with MAR batching processes and LTC dispensing systems Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of prescription processing procedures and pharmacy compliance standards Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications CPhT certification (PTCB or ExCPT) Experience with
