Receive prescriptions and refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate. Process prescriptions using third party insurance billing. Assist facilities and patients with questions and refer them to the pharmacist for medication information as needed. Adjudicate prescriptions and address rejected claims. Follow up with facilities on medication and profile concerns. Assist with packaging prescriptions for urgent medication fills as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or supervising pharmacist.

Qualifications Education:

high school or equivalent Active MN Pharmacy Technician Registration preferred Technician training certificate of completion from an accredited institution/college or signed certificate of completion from an employer preferred Not on the OIG or OIG Exclusions Lists Experience Prior experience in a pharmacy setting required Prior experience in LTC pharmacy preferred Prior experience with FrameworkLTC and pharmacy order entry preferred Skills and Knowledge Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong listening skills, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with other healthcare professionals. Demonstarted ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately. Desire and willingness to learn and perform new tasks. Self-motivation and self-direction.
