Job Overview Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in pharmacy operations, with specialized experience in clinical and hospital pharmacy settings. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Your expertise will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care across diverse healthcare environments. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including sterile IV admixture and IV infusion procedures, adhering to aseptic techniques and sterile compounding protocols. Assist pharmacists with medication management, including inventory control, stock replenishment, and ensuring medication availability for patient care. Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, pharmaceutical regulatory standards, and hospital policies related to drug regulation and safety. Support patient service activities by providing medication information, answering inquiries, and facilitating medication intake processes. Ensure proper documentation of medication administration and pharmacy transactions in accordance with medical terminology standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in the preparation of medications for critical care and acute care settings, demonstrating expertise in hospital pharmacy practices. Uphold safety protocols during drug handling, storage, and disposal to maintain a secure environment for staff and patients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support medication therapy management, including drug interaction checks and patient care coordination. Experience Prior experience working as a pharmacy technician within, hospital, or clinical pharmacy environments is highly desirable. Experience with critical care or acute care pharmacy practices enhances your ability to support complex medication regimens. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations, drug regulation policies, and compliance standards is essential for success in this role. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care processes. Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining attention to detail under pressure. Certification as a pharmacy technician or relevant licensure according to state requirements is preferred.
