Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication safety. In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations. Your critical skills in medication management, aseptic technique, and hospital pharmacy operations will help deliver exceptional patient service in fast-paced healthcare environments. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including IV infusions and sterile compounding using aseptic techniques. Assist with medication intake, medication administration, and patient medication reconciliation to ensure correct therapy delivery. Support hospital-based pharmacy operations, including managing inventory, labeling medications, and maintaining proper storage conditions. Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions and ensuring clear communication regarding prescriptions and therapy instructions. Maintain detailed records of medication dispensing, inventory logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth medication distribution within acute care settings such as critical care units or LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacies. Follow all safety protocols related to medical terminology, infection control, and aseptic procedures to uphold the highest standards of patient safety. Requirements Valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in accordance with state or national regulations. Proven experience working in LTC pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or acute care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and pharmacy operations. Experience with IV infusion preparation and aseptic technique is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient service and support patient care initiatives. Critical care experience or background in hospital pharmacy settings is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for intake processes and medication documentation. Pay:
$23.50 - $35.90 per hour
