Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Pharmaceutical Folder Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of folder machines. This role monitors equipment performance, inspects in-process and finished products to ensure quality standards, and verifies product packaging compliance with customer requirements prior to shipping. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and serves as a subject matter expert for folding operations, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and production standards.
Responsibilities:
Set up folder machines with 100% accuracy for jobs including RtAs, straight fold patterns, large format RtAs, and capserts. Perform basic to advanced machine maintenance such as station 2 roller changes, knifebox repair, gear changes, belt replacements, and glue system/head adjustments, cleaning, and repairs, etc. Demonstrate a 95% success rate in troubleshooting folder machine issues. Perform consistent preventative maintenance on folder machines. Fold and tape chipboard trays. Maintain consistent product inspection to ensure quality standards. Package product according to customer requirements. Enter data into computer terminals for accurate inventory tracking. Complete required paperwork including machine documentation. Load paper onto folder equipment and prepare basic start up functions. Clear paper jams out of machine following proper safety protocols. Perform shrink-wrap functions. Operate multi-pack machines and demonstrate full versatility with flat pack jobs, hand counting, and pad jobs. Keep work area clean and maintained. Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's). Successfully run and maintain production, on any folder machine, independently. Assist in the training and development of operators and new folder technicians. Assist operators in diagnosing problems and concerns with folding operations.
Qualifications:
Ability to accurately read and interpret measurement tools, including precision ruler to 1/64" Experience operating and maintaining Vijuk folder machines. Must be able to communicate, orally and in writing, in the English language Ability to use hands and fingers in continuous, repetitive motions. Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and to pull 1,800 pounds with the use of a manual pallet jack/mechanical assistance. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Bindery Technician (or equivalent), plus at least 2 years as a Bindery Operator. Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance and use of common power and hand tools.
