Job Description
We are an independently owned family pharmacy located in the Shoppes at Forrest Oaks in Greensboro, NC. We have the best customers in all of Greensboro and a pleasant work environment. We have an immediate job opening for another friendly, caring person to join our staff. Candidate must be flexible at working different assigned stations within the pharmacy (Data entry, inventory, point of sale). The position is for a part-time (20
- 30 hours per week) non-certified pharmacy technician. Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience as Pharmacy Technician in retail pharmacy setting
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma (or equivalent) Required Job Skills
- Knowledge of all aspects of Retail Pharmacy
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal English)
- Attention and focus
- Must provide caring and friendly service to all customers
- Must be a team player who maintains a positive work environment
- Must have good computer skills
- Knowledge of store inventory control
- Basic drug knowledge to accurately fill prescriptions, including counting, measuring and weighing medications.
- Knowledge of insurance billing
- Ability to handle money at point of sale
- Must have a good driving record and be willing to make prescription deliveries in company vehicle if necessary
- Must be able to perform all assigned tasks, projects and job duties.
- Ability to learn Work Schedule Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible weekday schedule between 9 am to 7 pm.
- Must be able to work every other Saturday (9 am to 3 pm). Physical Demands
- Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods of time
- Moving around on foot to accomplish tasks
- Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm.
- Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
- Stooping to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately
- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Visual Acuity, including ability to view a computer terminal, reading and visual inspection involving small parts.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs; exerting up to 30 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Must be able to perform cleaning tasks, including bathrooms when necessary.
- Must be able to drive
