Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support medication dispensing, patient care, and pharmacy operations within long-term care facilities. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate medication management and exceptional patient service, contributing to improved health outcomes for residents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in pharmacy technology and patient care make a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately for residents in long-term care settings, adhering to all safety and aseptic techniques. Support IV infusion procedures and aseptic techniques for sterile medication preparation when required. Maintain meticulous records of medication inventory, dispensing logs, and patient charts in compliance with regulatory standards. Prior pharmacy technician experience with a focus on LTC pharmacy or hospital environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques. Strong understanding of pharmacy operations within acute care or hospital settings is advantageous. Proven ability to deliver excellent patient service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
