Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will play a crucial role in preparing prescription orders and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services for long-term care facilities. Responsibilities Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory. Apply labels to medication packaging, scan, and assemble into appropriate bins accurately and promptly. Communicate inventory needs to ensure an adequate supply of medication is available to complete all orders. Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused medications, marking used bottles, and keeping inventory neat and arranged in order. Consistently meet the pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels. Work collaboratively with other supervisors and functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently. Maintain a clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed. Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications. Perform other essential functions and duties as assigned. Essential Skills Pharmacy experience and national certification (PTCB/NHA). Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while working on multiple tasks simultaneously and adhering to strict deadlines. Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in NC; national certification preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Work Environment This position is located onsite in Morrisville, NC. The work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with every other weekend assigned, and the same weekday off. The dress code is professionally casual, with scrubs preferred. The role involves working in a large and growing pharmacy, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact in completing prescription orders for long-term care facilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
