This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in critical care, IV infusion, and acute care pharmacy operations while supporting diverse patient needs. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, including LTC and hospital prescriptions Assist with medication intake, verification, and documentation to ensure proper medication management Perform aseptic techniques for sterile compounding, including IV infusions and other critical care preparations Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and communicate effectively with healthcare providers Support patient service initiatives by providing medication information and ensuring timely delivery of pharmaceuticals Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to medication handling, storage, and disposal Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate medication administration and optimize patient care outcomes Experience Prior pharmacy technician experience in LTC pharmacy or hospital environments is highly preferred Demonstrated critical care experience, including handling acute care medications and IV infusions Strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and medication safety standards Experience with medication administration processes within hospital or clinical settings Knowledge of pharmacy operations related to intake procedures and patient care workflows Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g., PTCB or equivalent) is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn Join us in making a difference through dedicated pharmacy services!
