Job Description
Minimum 2 years of experience required. Milltown Pharmacy is currently looking for an Experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team!
Responsibilities:
The Technician is primarily responsible for working with the PIC or Pharmacist on Duty to manage workflow and daily operations of the Pharmacy. Responsible for working at the prescription intake counter, receiving and typing new prescriptions and processing refills. Ability to fill in competently at all other non-pharmacist positions, as needed. Assist the PIC in making purchasing decisions and managing inventory. Review all negative prescription profit and collaborate with the Pharmacist on Duty to make decisions to resubmit a claim, dispense, etc. Make sure all necessary information is included and requirements are met on new prescriptions. Insure CII prescriptions are signed and dated by the Pharmacist on Duty. Work under the supervision of the PIC to schedule all technicians, cashiers and students to meet the needs of the store. Responsible for orientating and training new staff. Ability to resolve minor problems and recognize when to involve upper management. Ability to prioritize, organize and stay on-task. Responsible for compliance with workplace policies and procedures. Assist with the opening and closing of retail location. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workplace for co-workers and customers. Identify and report health and safety risks, accidents, incidents and property damage. Set an exemplary example for others by providing extraordinary customer service, at all times. Communicate in a friendly, patient and professional manner. Present a professional image via proper hygiene and grooming, as well as adherence to company dress code. Must be flexible and responsive to perform these and other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Minimum of two years' experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy. Must have knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for filling prescriptions, as well as a working knowledge of inventory control. Must project a professional image and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess a High School Diploma and possess current Pharmacy Technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.Similar jobs in Milltown, NJ
