Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations by accurately preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Experience in LTC pharmacy, critical care, or hospital settings is highly valued. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient health and safety in a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and protocols Assist pharmacists with medication administration and patient care activities Manage medication intake processes, including verifying patient information and insurance details Maintain aseptic techniques during IV infusion preparation and other sterile procedures Support medication inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions and ensuring understanding of medication instructions Document all pharmacy activities in compliance with healthcare regulations Adhere to safety standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials and infection control protocols Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in acute care, LTC, or hospital settings Skills Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably with LTC pharmacy or hospital experience Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques Critical care experience is a plus, especially related to IV infusion and acute care environments Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care and communication Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining accuracy Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools Knowledge of healthcare regulations governing medication handling and documentation Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team This position is essential for ensuring safe medication practices and delivering quality patient care. Pay:
$19.00 - $27.00 per hour
