Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and medication management. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, including IV infusions and aseptic preparations for critical care and acute care settings Manage medication intake processes, verifying prescriptions and ensuring proper documentation in compliance with pharmacy regulations Assist with medication administration tasks within hospital units, supporting nursing staff and ensuring timely delivery of drugs to patients Maintain meticulous records of medication inventory, ensuring proper storage, expiration tracking, and stock replenishment Utilize medical terminology proficiently to interpret prescriptions, communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, and document patient interactions Support patient service initiatives by answering medication-related questions and providing clear guidance on drug usage and safety precautions Uphold strict aseptic techniques during compounding procedures to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety in sterile environments Qualifications Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program with current licensure or registration as required by state law Prior pharmacy technician experience in LTC pharmacy, hospital, or acute care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and IV infusion procedures Experience working within hospital environments or critical care units is advantageous Strong understanding of pharmacy operations related to intake processes, inventory management, and aseptic technique Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and compliance with safety standards Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patient health and well-being.
