Job Description

Role Overview Pharmacy First Health is redefining rural healthcare by transforming community pharmacies into integrated care hubs. We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Waterloo, NY ! This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about healthcare and looking to grow within a supportive, patient-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the pharmacist in accurately filling and dispensing prescription medications. Receive and process prescription orders from patients, physicians, and healthcare providers. Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and flagging low-supply items. Handle point-of-sale transactions, process insurance claims, and assist patients with billing questions. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment in accordance with state and federal regulations. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to answer general inquiries and direct complex questions to the pharmacist. Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements at all times. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent (required). Possession of or willingness to obtain applicable state pharmacy technician registration or licensure as required by state law. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working directly with patients. Basic computer proficiency; experience with pharmacy software is a plus but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a busy, team-oriented workspace.
Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
