Pharmacy Per Diem Day Every other weekend 7a-3p. Every other Monday and Wednesday 7-3pm set schedule including holidays.

64 Position Summary The Pharmacy Transporter performs non-patient care functions under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Duties include but are not limited to: Telephonemunication with nursing units, delivering medication to nursing units, filling floor stock orders and performing variousputer functions relating to billing, ing labels and reports. Understands and ads to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors Performs medication delivery on a scheduled basis Performs floor stock delivery Performs delivery of emergency medication kits as needed Pick up returned medication from unit and process accordingly Transfer medication upon patient relocation. Is accountable for all deliveries made Able toanize and care for equipment. Integrates safety, patient rights and infection control methods into work practice. Utilizes appropriate steps in the decision making process to include recognition and priority setting related to transport and departmental issues. Addresses issues with appropriate actions. Participates in Performance Improvement Initiatives Attends mandatory in-services. Ads to all WPHC policies and procedures including dress code, code of conduct, customer service, attendance and submission of annual physical Collaborates andmunicates with the health care team. Completespetency requirements. Attends staff meetings as required/ requested. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma/equivalency required Successfulpletion of departmental orientation Core Competencies Demonstrates ability to establish two-waymunication by clearly defining expectations,municating utilizing a variety of methods, actively listening to ideas and concerns and responding in an appropriate manner. Ability to act in a professional capacity and serve as a role model. Demonstrates ability to retainsposure under stress Excellent interpersonal and verbalmunication skills Exercises time management andanizational skills Ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time Ability to use good judgment and has sound decision making skills Team player and willing to go above and beyond to get the job done Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion at all times Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access).
