Job Description

The Compounding Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist performing those duties deemed acceptable by the pharmacy laws of the State of Ohio.
Job Description:
Performs sterile compounding operations consistent with established protocols, procedures, and USP <797> and <800> requirements, Prepares the prescription for filling: checks the compounding record, gathers the necessary pharmaceuticals, stages the prescription, products and compounds individual orders. Cleans and maintains automatic compounding and pharmacy-related equipment per policy and regulations. Maintains all related compounding records, prescription logs, quality indicators and any other related files as determined by the pharmacist-in-charge or Quality Manager Performs environmental monitoring as required per policy and regulations. Participate in the overall Performance Improvement Plan Inventory management-assists operations team in maintaining appropriate level of drugs, supplies and equipment needs. Work Requirements:
Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations Competent and comfortable in an environment presenting numerous interruptions while requiring attention to multiple tasks. Ability to demonstrate and maintain proper aseptic technic necessary for sterile compounding, validation testing procedures and competency testing required by policy. Proficient in basic computer skills.
Education/Certifications:
High school diploma or GED National Pharmacy Technician Certification Registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a

Ability to perform job while standing, walking, reaching, stretching, and stilling for prolonged periods of time.
