Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A pharmacy technician position is available within an inpatient setting in Fairfield, OH, offering a 13-week contract beginning June 14. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including overnight hours, and provides an opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic clinical environment.
Schedule:
Two every other weekend shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Four overnight shifts Monday through Thursday from 9:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and dispense medications in the inpatient pharmacy following established protocols. Assist pharmacists by managing inventory, compounding sterile and non-sterile products, and supporting medication distribution. Utilize the Cerner EMR system for medication orders and documentation. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use. Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
Qualifications:
At least one year of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience is essential. IV preparation experience is highly advantageous. Current Ohio pharmacy technician license. National certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT) is required. Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred but not mandatory.
