Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An inpatient hospital is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support their medication dispensing and sterile compounding operations. This opportunity involves a 13-week contract to hire assignment, offering a chance for direct hire upon successful completion. The role features a unique 7 on, 7 off schedule, working the night shift from 9 PM to 7 AM, typically spanning Thursday through Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medications accurately within an inpatient hospital setting Perform sterile compounding in compliance with protocols and safety standards Utilize Meditech for order entry and ensure precision in data management Operate and manage automation systems such as Pyxis for medication distribution Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician license required National Pharmacy Technician Certification highly preferred Proven experience in an inpatient pharmacy environment Strong experience with sterile compounding techniques Proficiency using Pyxis automation systems Familiarity with Meditech order entry software
Work Schedule:
