The University of Oklahoma (OU) College of Pharmacy invites emerging scientific leaders to apply for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences on the OU Health Campus (OUHC) in Oklahoma City. We are a highly collaborative, research-active community driven by a mission to advance innovative drug discovery and development , train the next generation of scientists and clinicians, and propel translational breakthroughs that improve health across Oklahoma and beyond. We seek candidates with a PhD or equivalent degree in pharmaceutical sciences or a related field, at least two years of postdoctoral training , a record of impactful first-author publications, and clear evidence of research productivity and potential. Individuals with strong communication skills , current external funding , or research interests aligned with neuroscience and pharmacology are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will join an energetic, interdisciplinary department and is expected to build and sustain an innovative, externally funded independent research program , contribute to high-impact collaborative science, and help shape the future of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences education. Current departmental expertise spans drug discovery , neurodegeneration and sensory dysregulation , traumatic stress and brain injury , cancer , immunology, infectious and metabolic diseases , and development of radiopharmaceutical diagnostics/theranostics , novel peptide therapeutics , and next-generation drug delivery systems . Qualifications:
Required Ph.D., Pharm.

D. or equivalent degree in a pharmaceutical sciences discipline or closely related field Must be authorized to work in the United States Track record of research productivity, project design and implementation History of extramural research funding Didactic teaching experience Preferred History of providing didactic pharmacology knowledge to graduate and/or professional learners PI of a funded and active independent research program Track record of strong primary authored research publications.
