Job Description

We do more than treat cancer. Be a part of the most powerful team of cancer experts and advocates who invest in the health and well-being of our patients throughout treatment and beyond. As part of the team, you will be pursuing the most advanced, innovative and cost-effective treatment options, so that our patients receive personalized, custom care best suited to their situation. Under supervision of a registered pharmacist working within a licensed pharmacy, performs the technical nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping and inventory control. Assist in the process necessary to obtain approval for prescribed oncology drugs by helping in the collaboration of the pharmacy, physician office and third-party payers. Tasks are subject to final verification by a registered pharmacist. This position may need to provide front end support to the retail pharmacy including management of over-the-counter medications inventory, purchasing and stocking. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required. At least three to five years of retail pharmacy experience required. One year of oncology pharmacy experience preferred. Excellent customer service skill a must. One year of third-party prescription claim approvals required. Licensed with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy (or eligible) required. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
