Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician In an acute pharmacy to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Immediate Needs:
1 year experience in acute care environment needed if you are Nationally Certified 2 years experience on acute care pharmacy environment and not nationally certified. Day shift hours
Permanent Hire Coursework/Training:
Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) electronic health records (EHR) Duties Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Prepare medications for distribution, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile compounding. Manage medication intake processes, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring proper documentation. Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and supporting patient care initiatives. Maintain accurate records of medication administration, inventory levels, and pharmacy documentation. Utilize medical terminology effectively to interpret prescriptions and communicate with healthcare professionals. Support hospital staff with acute care needs by ensuring timely medication delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
Pay:
$25.00 - $31.00 per hour
