Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire Support the Department of Pharmaceutical Services by serving as a Pharmacy Technician under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves ensuring accurate labeling, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products to diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, within an inpatient hospital setting.
Location:
Flemington, NJ (approximately 1 hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City)
Schedule:
Variable days and afternoon shifts based on department needs Weekend rotation required as scheduled
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in compliance with departmental policies Accurately label and distribute pharmaceutical products to all patient populations Perform technical support duties related to medication preparation, including IV preparation Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell medication dispensing systems effectively Maintain adherence to safety and sterile compounding protocols
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician license, or ability to obtain promptly National Certification from PTCB or NHA Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred This full-time, direct hire position offers the opportunity to work in a respected inpatient hospital environment with variety in shifts and patient care experiences.
