Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this role provides essential technical support within the Department of Pharmaceutical Services at an inpatient hospital setting. The pharmacy technician is responsible for accurately labeling, preparing, dispensing, and distributing pharmaceutical products to a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Flemington, NJ (approximately 1 hour from Edison NJ, Newark NJ, and New York City)

Variable days and afternoon shifts based on department needs; weekend rotation required as scheduled
Software Utilized:
Pyxis, Omnicell Key Responsibilities Prepare, label, dispense, and distribute medications accurately under pharmacist supervision Provide pharmaceutical support for patients across all age groups and care levels Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards, including sterile compounding protocols Use automated medication dispensing systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell efficiently Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care Desired Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent NJ Pharmacy Technician license, or ability to obtain quickly National Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Minimum of 1 year inpatient experience, including IV preparation IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to apply your pharmacy technician skills in a dynamic inpatient hospital environment, supporting comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
