Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispensing Pharmacy Technician to join our closed-door long-term care pharmacy team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the pharmacist by assisting in daily dispensing activities while ensuring superior patient care and customer service. You will also contribute to maintaining an efficient, organized, and collaborative work environment.
Schedule:
Rotating shifts & weekends
Responsibilities :
  • Accurately fill daily prescription orders, including punch cards, bulk items, OTC medications, compounding, cassettes, and prepacks.
  • Stock and restock medication inventory as needed.
  • Print daily orders, labels, and delivery sheets for the pharmacy.
  • Process daily "shorts" and punch card buckets to ensure seamless prescription fulfillment.
  • Reorder bulk medications and manage "shorts" inventory effectively.
  • Create and maintain the punch-card calendar and update the calendar board as needed.
  • Receive incoming shipments of medications and handle all associated paperwork promptly and accurately. Must Haves Valid CPhT license in good standing Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, especially in a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy, is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software and inventory management systems is preferred.
