The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications, ensure inventory accuracy, and manage a high volume of data entry. This role operates Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 6 PM, and does not involve direct patient interaction, but it plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our pharmacy services. The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications by accurately counting, pouring, labeling, and mixing pharmaceuticals Maintain pharmacy inventory by monitoring stock levels, anticipating supply needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts, and removing expired or outdated drugs Manage a high volume of data entry to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping Ensure medication readiness by organizing timely deliveries to various departments within the facility Assist pharmacists in resolving drug-related issues and maintaining accurate medication records Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques during IV preparation Utilize medical terminology effectively in communications with healthcare professionals Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and pharmacy procedures in a non-patient-facing environment Experience Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail, hospital, long-term care, or closed-door pharmacy setting is preferred Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, with a focus on accuracy, dispensing, and high-volume data entry Familiarity with respiratory medication preparations, including inhalation techniques Pharmacy Technician certification is a plus Join our dedicated pharmacy team and contribute to the vital behind-the-scenes work that ensures the safety and well-being of patients through expert medication management.
