Our services help clients take medications as prescribed while reducing administrative burden for providers. Altruix customers achieve measurable results, including 90% adherence rates and a 40% reduction in ER and hospital-related costs. Altruix is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Scranton, PA . This is a part-time, onsite position working approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM . The Retail Pharmacy Technician supports daily pharmacy operations by assisting with prescription processing, medication dispensing, customer service, inventory management, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role works closely with pharmacists, patients, and healthcare providers to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys patient interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to accuracy and quality in pharmacy operations. Compensation for this role ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Main Responsibilities Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy software systems Assist with medication preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing in accordance with state regulations Answer incoming calls and assist patients with pharmacy-related inquiries Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers Resolve insurance rejections and assist with third-party billing issues Maintain accurate patient profiles and pharmacy records Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring medication levels Support compliance with pharmacy regulations, company policies, and quality standards Assist with medication returns and other pharmacy operational activities Escalate patient concerns, medication issues, or operational challenges to the pharmacist as appropriate Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Active Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician, or ability to obtain registration upon hire Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software systems Strong communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Retail pharmacy experience Experience with prescription processing and third-party insurance billing National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription workflows Key Traits for Success Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Dependable and team-oriented Strong time management and organizational skills Commitment to patient care and medication safety Schedule Part-Time Approximately 20 hours per week Monday
