Job Description

Part Time Day Shift Schedule Part-Time:
20 Hours/Weekly Rotating Hours Monday through Friday 7am to 8pm Saturday 8am to 12 noon General Summary Fills routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties.
Essential Functions:
Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels. Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed. Submits and receives orders from suppliers. Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications. Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery. Position shares responsibility with other team members for daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA. (Applies only to staff working at Good Samaritan Pharmacy location only; Department 43514).

Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Logs all drugs delivered to pharmacy.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience:
No experience. Required Previous customer service experience.
