Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Benefits Verification Technician to support members, providers, and insurance carriers by ensuring accurate insurance verification and prescription claims processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a state-licensed and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician who enjoys problem-solving and working in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment.
Locations :
Tempe, AZ | Hybrid, but primarily remote (1-2 days a month if needed)
Pay Rate :
$22.50/hour
Schedule :
Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM-8:00 PM; occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM-5:00 PM) and overtime as business needs require
What You'll Do:
+ Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through outbound calls and follow-up communications + Resolve prescription and claims issues to ensure timely adjudication + Coordinate with Pharmacy Benefit Management ( PBM ) services to support accurate billing + Assist pharmacists and internal teams with audits and compliance reviews + Document all correspondence, escalations, and resolutions in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent + Active State Pharmacy Technician license (Arizona) + National certification ( PTCB or NHA ) + 1-2+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, mail order, specialty, PBM , or managed care) + Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills + Claims adjudication and secondary billing + Medicaid and discount card processing + PBM or managed care environment
