Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Support the operations of a Long-Term Care pharmacy as an Input Technician, working with patient profiles and medication orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws. This role offers the flexibility to work from home with provided equipment, or onsite/hybrid options for local candidates.

Full-time, 13-week contract to hire
Key Responsibilities:
Enter new orders and process changes to patient profiles accurately and promptly Identify and handle requests for controlled substances according to policies Troubleshoot insurance rejections and coordinate with billing as needed Prioritize and triage medication routes and orders efficiently Communicate with facilities to obtain missing information or explain dispensing issues Answer phone calls promptly (within three rings) and provide professional customer service Alert pharmacists about medication orders that cannot be dispensed and assist with facility communications under their direction Adhere strictly to the Absolute Check Policy to maintain compliance and safety Collaborate with back counter staff to relay important updates Participate in required meetings and trainings
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong working knowledge of Framework software (required) High School diploma or equivalent WI Pharmacy Technician License; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred Previous pharmacy technician experience with a strong attention to detail Excellent typing and clerical skills Ability to manage workload independently and adapt to changing situations Quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet essential for remote work This full-time opportunity offers a chance to develop your pharmacy technician career within a supportive team environment.
