Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Join a tele-pharmacy initiative focused on enhancing patient medication adherence through dedicated outreach and support. This contract opportunity seeks motivated Pharmacy Technicians to serve as Patient Outreach Specialists in a remote capacity, engaging with patients, providers, and pharmacies primarily across the Eastern and Central time zones.
Location:
Fully remote position with a requirement to reside in Eastern or Central Time Zones (no West Coast candidates).
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM ET Possibility of occasional afternoons, evenings, or Saturday morning shifts
Contract Duration:
Approximately 3-4 months, starting late July through mid-
November Responsibilities:
Conduct inbound and outbound calls to patients, providers, and pharmacies to coordinate patient-related needs and collect relevant medical information. Support medication adherence efforts, particularly for conditions such as hypertension, cholesterol, and diabetes. Streamline pharmacy-related processes focusing on continuous process improvement. Document detailed post-call notes using patient-centered tools. Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Minimum 6 months as a pharmacy technician. Previous call center or patient support experience highly preferred. Strong communication and telephone skills with a professional phone presence. Familiarity with Medicare and STAR ratings. Experience with EHR platforms and technology proficiency including Microsoft Excel and Google Suite. Able to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail. Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently from home. Reliable high-speed internet meeting specified requirements and a private, quiet workspace. PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory.
