Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Support patient medication adherence as a remote Pharmacy Technician specializing in tele-pharmacy outreach. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by coordinating care and communicating with patients, providers, and pharmacies within a value-based health operation.
Location & Schedule:
Remote work opportunity for candidates residing in Eastern or Central Time zones Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET, with possible occasional afternoons, evenings, or Saturday mornings
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inbound and outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies to gather information and facilitate medication adherence, focusing on conditions such as hypertension, cholesterol, and diabetes Document patient interactions comprehensively using electronic health records and patient-centered tools Collaborate effectively across teams to streamline pharmacy processes and improve patient experience Maintain compliance with Medicare and STAR ratings standards while incorporating health literacy principles into patient interactions
Desired Qualifications:
At least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience; prior call center or telephonic support background highly preferred Strong communication skills with a professional phone presence Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and critical thinking skills Proficiency with technology, including EHR platforms, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 100mbps download, 10mbps upload) with Ethernet connection (no Wi-Fi) Access to a quiet, private workspace equipped with desk and chair
Additional Details:
Contract duration: approximately 3 to 4 months, starting late July through mid-November Workstation equipment provided and must be returned upon contract completion Contractor submission requires updated resume, skills checklist, manager reference highlighting phone communication skills, licenses, and a specific communication evaluation template This role is ideal for candidates passionate about delivering exceptional patient support and improving healthcare outcomes through tele-pharmacy services.
