Job Description

Job Overview Plexus Health in Lancaster, SC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals in a hospital or acute care setting, providing essential support in medication management and patient care. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare staff. Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile preparations. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes in critical care settings. Document all medication-related activities accurately in patient records.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience. 340B experience preferred.
Certifications:
PCBT and State of SC Certified Skills:
Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and drug inventory control. Understanding of 340B Program requirements and regulations. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management. Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and pharmacy management software. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
