Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking two certified pharmacy technicians registered with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy for a 13-week contract role with potential temp-to-hire opportunity. This position involves working at a fast-paced pharmacy processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, utilizing the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system without automation.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
In a customer service role: Verify shipping information, enter new patient details, and update patient profile information accurately within the pharmacy software.
In a dispensing role:
Fill and dispense medications according to prescription orders with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and accurate prescription processing. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy is required. PTCB certification is mandatory for candidates considered for permanent placement. Experience in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
