Job Description
General Role:
Processes prescription orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and quality standards. Provides customer support to prescribers, clinics, and internal teams to ensure timely order entry, issue resolution, and a high level of service.Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter prescription and patient data into pharmacy systems in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy; identify and escalate discrepancies or missing information.
- Communicate with prescribers, clinics, and internal departments to resolve order issues and clarify prescription details.
- Assist with inbound and outbound customer service communications related to order status, documentation, and general inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and company confidentiality standards.
- Prioritize workload to meet turnaround time expectations and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with fulfillment, compounding, quality, and sales teams to ensure smooth order processing.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all quality, compliance, and safety policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Prior data entry experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated environment strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Pharmacy Technician registration or certification (where applicable) preferred.
Pay:
