This role is critical to ensuring the safety, quality, and accuracy of patient-specific sterile preparations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in sterile compounding, a strong understanding of USP and , and a commitment to maintaining the higheststandards of cleanliness, accuracy, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Sterile Compounding Operations Prepare patient-specific sterile compounded medications in accordance with
USP , USP
, and applicable state board regulations Perform aseptic techniques in ISO-classified cleanroom environments (e.g., LAFW, BSC, isolators) Accurately measure, compound, label, and package sterile preparations under pharmacist supervision Follow master formulation records and compounding logs precisely Cleanroom & Environmental Control Maintain cleanroom integrity, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of ISO 5, 7, and 8 areas Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning per SOPs Properly gown, garb, and maintain personal hygiene standards required for sterile compounding Compliance & Documentation Complete all required compounding documentation, logs, and batch records accurately and in real time Assist with beyond-use dating (BUD) adherence and inventory control Support internal audits, inspections, and regulatory visits as needed Inventory & Supplies Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking sterile compounding supplies and medications Monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of sterile ingredients Maintain proper segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials Quality & Safety Adhere to all safety protocols related to sterile and hazardous drug handling Report deviations, contamination risks, or equipment issues immediately Participate in ongoing training, media fills, and competency assessments Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Registered Pharmacy Technician (as required by state law) Prior experience in sterile compounding (503A or hospital cleanroom experience) Knowledge of USP and standards Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs exactly Preferred CPhT certification (PTCB or equivalent) 1+ year of hands-on sterile compounding experience Experience with hazardous drug compounding Familiarity with cleanroom documentation systems and compounding software Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Manual dexterity for precise compounding tasks Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE Benefits Competitive compensation Two (2) weeks PTO Holiday Pay Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance 401(k) and 401(k) matching Opportunities for professional development and growth
