The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in pharmacy operations, with experience in prior authorization process , and a passion for providing exceptional patient service. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting supervising pharmacist by preparing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate medication dispensing. Your expertise in medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and medication administration will contribute to delivering safe and efficient patient care across various clinical environments. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately, including IV infusions and aseptic preparations. Manage medication inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and adherence to storage protocols. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating records, and coordinating with healthcare providers for medication orders. Maintain compliance with all safety standards, including aseptic techniques and infection control procedures during medication preparation. Provide excellent patient service by addressing medication inquiries, explaining usage instructions, and supporting medication adherence efforts. Document medication administration details accurately within electronic health records to ensure precise tracking of patient treatments. Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate critical care interventions and ensure timely delivery of medications for acute care patients. Requirements Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program; current registration or licensure as required by state or local regulations. Prior experience working in LTC pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or critical care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, and aseptic technique procedures. Experience with IV infusion preparation and medication administration within clinical settings. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and team members. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools used in acute care settings is advantageous. Key Qualifications Experience in biologics. Knowledge of Co‑Pay Assistance Programs, patient support resources, and specialty pharmacy interactions. Experience with e-Clinical works a plus. Willing to learn new tasks and grow in this versatile role. Excellent communication skills, professional phone etiquette, and accurate documentation practices. Preference for candidates with experience in weight loss program & supplement sales background. Exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism. Performance Expectations Prioritize and close authorizations rapidly to avoid treatment delays. Demonstrate consistent follow‑through on patient and pharmacy communications.
