Job Description

Pharmacy Technician - Closed Door Pharmacy Position Overview We're seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing in a fast‑paced pharmacy environment. This role is critical in preparing medications for final pharmacist verification while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency. If you're licensed, dependable, and enjoy hands‑on work in pharmacy operations, this could be a great fit for you! Key Responsibilities + Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification + Accurately fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision + Pull medications from shelving, storage areas, and prepack racks + Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy + Alert the pharmacist on duty of any scanning or product discrepancies + Assist with pre‑packing frequently ordered medications during low‑volume periods + Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of items per procedure + Package materials and products manually + Maintain clean, organized workstations and replenish supplies as needed + Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA + Comply with departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code + Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required + Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements + High School Diploma or equivalent + Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English + Possess and maintain a clear and active Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas Board of Pharmacy Preferred Qualifications + Previous pharmacy technician experience Why Join This Opportunity? + Hands‑on pharmacy operations experience + Structured workflow with pharmacist support + Opportunity to build or grow your pharmacy career + Team‑focused, production‑driven environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Abilene, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
