Certified Pharmacy Technician

Education Must have minimum high school diploma or equivalent Must be certified pharmacy technician by the Texas State Board of pharmacy. Experience Prior experience not required but certification is. Skills Must be comfortable with direct customer care, must be friendly and willing to learn computerized systems. Some basic medical terminology needed, including medical billing and insurance terminology. Knowledgeable in entering data into computers, using technology in relation to filling prescriptions. Understands professionalism in the medical field and maintains responsibility for individual actions. Be comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting, answering phones, multi-tasking, and be directly involved in customer service.
