Full-time Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced, motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the sterile compounding production process by accurately preparing injectable medications using aseptic technique, maintaining detailed batch records, and collaborating with pharmacists and fellow technicians in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile compounded medications using aseptic technique in an ISO-classified cleanroom. Accurately measure, calculate, and compound medications per master formulation records Perform visual inspection of finished vials for particulate matter, fill volume accuracy, and container integrity Complete proper gowning and garbing procedures and adhere to all cleanroom entry requirements Assist with environmental monitoring tasks including surface and air sampling Maintain accurate batch records, compounding logs, and production documentation per USP 797 standards Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of cleanroom surfaces and equipment per SOPs Monitor and document cleanroom conditions including temperature, humidity, and pressure differentials Communicate with all departments to ensure an efficient production workflow
Skills & Qualifications:
Must be a registered pharmacy technician Prior sterile compounding or cleanroom experience required Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written SOPs precisely Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy in a production environment Comfortable working in full gown attire for extended periods Basic math skills including pharmaceutical calculations Strong work ethic with a commitment to patient safety and product quality Effective communication skills for coordination across departments
Requirements:
Active state pharmacy technician registration Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations High school diploma or GED required Work Environment ISO-classified cleanroom requiring full gowning including gloves, gown, hair cover, mask, and shoe covers Requires prolonged periods of standing and fine motor work Controlled temperature and humidity environment Fast-paced production setting with daily order volume targets
