Iowa Park, TX Job Details Full-time 9 days ago Qualifications Customer communication Computer literacy High school diploma or GED Registered Pharmacy Technician Full Job Description Under the supervision of a pharmacist, fills physicians orders, assists with monitoring drug therapy, stocking and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, and assists the pharmacist in the monitoring of the inventory of narcotic and controlled substances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the pharmacists in the operations of providing pharmaceutical services. Audit records to meet regulations and maintain compliance. Maintain 340B compliance by following program specific policy and procedures. Support pharmaceutical services by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications. Greet, communicate, and treat clients in professional, honest, fair, and respectful manner at all times. Maintain records by recording and filing prescriptions and orders of physicians. Sort, stock, and label medication and monitoring inventory. Respond to requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions, and referring various inquiries to the pharmacist. Comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a clean and safe pharmacy by sterilizing equipment and surfaces. Process prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete. Record, calculate, and issue charges. Ensure inventory is adequately stocked with supplies necessary for efficient operation.

EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
One year experience working as a pharmacy technician preferred.
PERSONAL JOB-RELATED SKILLS
Knowledge of proficient data entry and of general office duties. Effective oral and written communication skills. Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems. Excellent customer service skills. Operation of ten key adding machine/calculator.
LICENSURE, REGISTRY, CERTIFICATIONS
Pharmacy Technician Registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Certificated by the PTCB or similar agency.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Duties of position require moderate periods of sitting and standing. Lifting up to 30 pounds when handling case goods and the visual capability to readily read prescriptions and labels. The ability to comprehend and follow written or verbal instructions or directions.
