Scripx is your spot. We have been experiencing a large amount of growth within our compounding department due to the high demand and popularity of compounded and personalized care. We are needing to an immediate hire to come in and help support our team with compounding and retail operations. Part-time to Full-Time. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of non-sterile compounded medications for our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a pharmacy setting, particularly in long-term care (LTC) and critical care environments, and will be committed to providing exceptional patient service and care. Responsibilities Prepare non-sterile compounded medications according to established protocols and guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure medication safety. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication administration. Assist with patient intake, including gathering necessary information for medication preparation. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare staff and patients. Document all compounding activities accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills in acute care and pharmacy practices. Skills Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in LTC or hospital settings. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to patient care and medication administration. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and best practices in compounding medications. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with a focus on patient service and collaboration within a healthcare team. Experience in critical care environments is highly desirable, enhancing the ability to respond to patient needs effectively.
