Job Description

Job Title:
PRN Compounding Pharmacy Technician Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
Wednesdays & Thursdays, 2:00 PM - 6:30 PM (PRN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounded products, while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and patient care. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a solid understanding of pharmacy practices, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations using proper aseptic techniques (including IV infusions) Provide excellent customer service by answering patient questions and addressing medication concerns Maintain accurate prescription records and manage medication inventory Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care Educate patients on proper medication usage when appropriate
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician required; compounding experience strongly preferred Knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques is highly desirable Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations Experience in acute care or critical care settings is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us?
