Licensing Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License(TSBP) required, valid PCTB license or ExCPT certification preferred.
Experience Requirements:

Position Overview :
Processes or coordinates all approved prescriptions for new or existing patients ensuring all patient's needs are being met or addressed.

Responsibilities:
§ Accurately and efficiently processes new or refilled prescriptions. § May investigate unpaid claims and troubleshoot any issues that might arise. § Ensures all insurance information has been accurately entered. § May communicate with physician's office to ensure continuous patient care. § Investigates previously approved prescriptions that indicate rejected status. § Works closely with team members outside of department to ensure the utmost in patient care. § May complete patient benefit verification. § Knowledgeable regarding Senderra's community values and demonstrates them daily. § Participates in staff meetings, conference calls, and other meetings, as needed. § Knowledgeable regarding Senderra's community values and demonstrates them daily. § Performs other incidental and related duties as required. § Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications. § Maintain pharmacy inventory, checking in orders and maintaining pharmacy records. § Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently. § Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience in dispensing pharmacy setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Working Conditions:
§ Fast-paced environment. § Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant. § Requires normal hearing levels (corrected). § Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.
